Lumiar
Category: Woolyne Companions
The Lumiar is a small creature rarely seen, usually only by Woolyne soaring high above the clouds on their drakern, and only at night. These small companions love to soar in the high altitude among the stars and clouds! Curiously they appear in greater number during the Starsea festival-rumor has it they trail the falling stars to the surface before soaring once more to the skies. Always appear in the colors of the night sky, with one bright tail feather on their back.

Sootmus
Category: Woolyne Companions
The Sootmus is a small critter that can usually be found in old firepits, kitchens, wildfire remains, or anywhere where a fire has been. Folk tales say that each Sootmus is the spirit of a Woolyne who was a victim of fire; indeed, Sootmus are quite common in the ruins of burned buildings, tails flickering like dying embers among the remains. Many Woolyne view the Sootmus as good luck, and treat the creatures with respect. These creatures are easy to take care of-they only eat soot and ash! Always appear in black, gray and dark brown colors- the colors of soot and ash!

Solstine
Category: Woolyne Companions
It's said that when frost appears, a Solstine has passed through. Claimed responsible for frosted windows, foliage, and delicate curls of ice, the Solstine is actually rarely seen. They are solitary creatures, and prefer the wilds rather than any cities or towns-only making their passage in the darkness of night, leaving flakes of frost on the ground. These creatures release icy cold motes from their whiskers and their fur shimmers with the iridescence of newly formed frost. Always appear in shades of blues and whites, like ice.

Noctyre
Category: Woolyne Companions
Noctyre are famed for only being seen at night, solitary or in small flocks of fellow Noctyre. They are purely nocturnal creatures and their night vision is the best of any known species in Andras, making them efficient hunters. Curiously though they leave their prey almost untouched-save for their blood which is completely drained. Noctyre survive off of a pure liquid diet, making them a bit tricky to care for.

Lizargo
Category: Woolyne Companions
Lizargo are solitary creatures with a nasty attitude and a tendency to hoard shiny objects. These lizards are about the size of a medium sized dog. They're tireless hunters with a venomous bite that weakens their prey before they swallow it whole. When one Lizargo comes across another, they fight to prove which one is stronger-the weaker being banished from the territory. As a companion it takes a truly talented Woolyne to earn their trust. Always appear in shades of red, brown, deep purples and maroons, yellows and oranges.

Fel-vern
Category: Woolyne Companions
The patron animal of Ur-bahn, these fierce creatures tie into the legends of the city's founding. They're proud and haughty creatures but endlessly affectionate to Woolyne they care for. Native Fel-verns make their homes among the cliffs and waterfalls of Ur-Bahn; though nowadays they're just as often seen perched on a Woolyne's shoulders! Always appear with a variation of reds, blues, greens and yellows.
Medium Companion
Chicern
Category: Woolyne Companions
The smaller cousin of Odysse's native Drakerns, the Chicern doesn't quite have the smarts that its cousin has. They are a highly food motivated breed but they can make quite cuddly companions! Many Woolyne keep a few for their eggs as they are essential to plenty of food dishes! Others like to show them in national competitions-of which there's a surprisingly large following.
Can appear in different colors, although the white version is most common! Please reference real chicken breeds for their alternative color patterns!
Medium Companion

Faecats are tiny fairy-like felines that grow plants from their back. Faecats can help grow and heal plants; they are important magical pollinators.
Faecats live in the most remote, wild parts of Andras and Valiore. They typically avoid contact with andrasians but can bond to woolynes or faelidhs if they are raised from eggs.
Seeing faecats in the wild is so rare that you're encouraged to make a wish on them if you see one.
