The outside was lively. More so than Remiel expected, to be fair, and as he followed Alorus' small frame through the crowd, the dryad was quite pleased he could actually hover seamlessly above the ground with minimal use of his insect wings. He did not like the fact the ground was... well not dirty, but clearly, so many people here could not be exactly hygienic.
Alorus had turned his head, looked his friend up and down, arched a brow and snorted at him, "You're being ridiculous," he said matter of fact as he excused himself for bumping into a fellow wool, who waved him off with a smile, "You can walk on the ground, Rem, you're FINE," he watched the dryad a few more seconds, but when he got ignored, he rolled his eyes again, "You gonna join them up there?"
They managed to escape most of the crowd, seating themselves near a food stand after getting some snacks, and the doctor curled his lip up a bit, "Nah," he said as he bit into his food.
"Any particular reason? You got wings. Nothing exactly keeping you from joining them up there. I know you don't feel woozy like I do when you fly..."
Remiel took another bite, the small butterfly spirit he had been paired with landing skillfully on top of the food. He was unsure if she (they? he wasn't even sure if gender was a thing, it felt... a bit strange to refer to them as an it in his mind though, and and they had seemed entirely unfussed about him using she to refer to them), ate, but she usually tended to stay near the food when he got some. If she got anything out of it, he did not know, "I don't get woozy flying up like them," he watched some wool swooping around overhead with general ease, "But... I didn't get these wings in order to do any of that. That's not their purpose. While I do like to float, that's also just not their general use. I don't need to be up there to celebrate, do you?" seated there on the ground, he extended his snack out to Alorus, whom grinned for a second before bumping his piece of food against his friend's.
"You know what, I guess you're right. I guess not," silence fell around them before Alorus sighed, "I guess we can celebrate with them from down here."
