Despite how new he still felt in Ur-bahn, having now spent some time there, Alorus was slowly getting used to the feel and sights of the city. Granted, the Rodeo going on was sure to change things up a bit, no doubt, but the feel of the place was sure to remain, and thus, he figured he was getting the full blown experience, at the end of the day. Still, he did refuse to participate in the rodeo proper, and Akiko didn't seem to be pushing for him to do anything physically, both the friends watching from the stands as a particularly short wool entered the arena.
The wool saluted from his place and began a rather impressive bout of bare back riding. Alorus watched entranced, and had the romp lasted less, the wool been shoved off the back of the animal or something else distracted him... perhaps he wouldn't have noticed, but the more he watched the wool in the ring, the more it struck him that... he knew this guy from somewhere. From where though? He had no clue. He'd definitely seen him before though, and as the bare backing came to a close when the short wool was finally shoved off, Alorus tilted his head like a confused dog.
He didn't want to just go over there and talk to him out of nowhere, but the thought niggled at him. It was when the other wool was leaving the arena that he gasped "Oh! I know where I know him from!"
Akiko whom had been chewing on a treat, barely paying attention to the arena itself, turned her head towards her friend and made an inquiring noise. She seemed to have no idea what he was talking about.
"You know, that guy," Alorus made a small motion with his hand, "The one that was riding bare back... I know that guy."
"Oh?"
"Yes," a pause followed, "Do you remember that one time I went missing?" his friend nodded at him to go on, and Alorus did so, "Well, I think I recall telling you not to tell my grandad. To not breathe a word about it to him, right?" another nod from his friend, "That's him, that's the guy that helped me out that time. He set me free when, honestly, it served to give him no advantage whatsoever."
"Hmm..." Akiko had by then turned to watch the small wool, and idly wondered if perhaps they'd get a chance to meet him proper.
