Alorus stays to investigate the ruins.

Having not known what to expect, Alorus had simply answered the summons quietly, trying to stay to the side of things, a bit too overwhelmed to say much or do much. His eyes did, however, keep track of the on goings, watching the throne room in front of him, with the Winter queen there, and Rue beside her. He noted the way woolyne seemed to be whispering among themselves, likely worried over what may or may not be going on, wondering why they were summoned and others were not. Thoughts and notions echoed in Alorus' mind to be sure, though he seemed to be in no rush to answer anything... at least, yet.

When the queen spoke up, Alorus nodded along to her words; he had noticed this, though to be fair, he hadn't really given it much thought, just thinking it to be something natural. Some winters were longer, others shorter. Nature could be odd sometimes, and nothing had really caught his attention in a really negative way.

The information that had been given to them had been... unsettling, and when tasked with following the trail, Alorus had made sure to invite his own Eitraven, Elron, and both had set out on the journey, along with his Drakern, Corbin.

Walking had been made easier thanks to his trusty mount, whom though a bit temperamental, was deathly loyal to him, and even camping in the frigid trail had been made more than tolerable thanks to sharing body heat.

Elron had been right at home, flying ahead of them, keeping an eye on their surroundings. It was in fact thanks to the last Eitraven that they spotted the ruins, where the trail had officially ran cold entirely. Rather than report back immediately, Alorus has decided that perhaps it was a better idea to sniff around in search of what may have caused the weird happenstance. It was, after all, no use to report but then tell the queen he had no idea what had happened or why. He figured the more information, the better, and if a quick escape was needed, well, he could always rely on his shifter form, no doubt.

As such, both he, his Drakern and his trusty Eitraven had ventured forth, hoping they would not come to regret the situation. It was only on the second day of camping out that he'd realized maybe... he should have at least sent Elron back with news of where he'd been. Just in case. Though then again, it was perhaps too late for regrets.
