While adventures never got old, Alorus hadn't really come against a day quite like the one where he'd been kidnapped by what he could only assume was the thieves guild. Normality was never overrated, and he tended to use his skills to spend as much time away from the towns and cities as possible; this meant he did a lot of hunting, and quite a lot of patrolling the intimidate vicinity of the forests, near towns and cities. Meat was always in demand, specially in the colder months, and it helped when he could shift to hunt.

As such he'd been doing a lot of dragging fresh kills back to town, for the wools that needed it, paying him in shards where needed. What he was not nearly as used to, was to find other wools in the forest as he tended to his list of chores, as he called them. It all helped him get a grip of how long he could maintain a shift, now that he was starting to get comfortable and vanish the fear of losing control. It had been a peaceful morning hunt, and he'd already dragged one kill back to town, rested, and gone back out, shifted again to hunt and was about to start some tracking when a not so distant sound caught his attention.

Alorus lifted his ear as best he could, took one look back in the direction of the scent of prey and snorted; he'd hunt more tomorrow. It was clear his curiosity had been peaked and he would not be able to concentrate if he continue without giving the sound a thorough investigation.

The closer he got to it, the more it sounded, strangely, like a sniffle. Odd, because he was a good distance away from the town, but still, he soon enough stumbled across a woolyne. Young. Apparently hurt, and quite startled by his appearance and size. Lifting his head to scent the air, Alorus swiftly determined that no adults were nearby, and thus, did his best to make himself appear as friendly as possible; he even dropped his front half on the ground in a play bow, which he hoped no one other than the child saw.

Thankfully, the gesture was enough to get the child to climb on his back, and he carried it back to town through the forest. A unique experience to be sure.
